Assault in Mississauga Credit River

The Future is Binary © – 11 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating an assault which took place along the pathway in Riverwood Park, in Mississauga.
On Sunday June 22, 2014., at approximately 10:30 a.m. the 27 year old female victim was jogging along the path along the Credit River in the area of Riverwood Park, when she was grabbed from behind by a male suspect. The victim was able to fight off the suspect and contacted police.
The victim didn’t require medical attention following the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, tanned or Middle Eastern, 6’, thin build, 18-20 years of age, skinny legs, wearing dark basketball material shorts, high white socks, white running shoes, and a white sleeveless t-shirt with a hood made of basketball athletic material.
Police would also like to take this opportunity to remind members of the public to always be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious persons or activity. If possible, walk with a partner and avoid unpopulated areas. Ensure that others are aware of your route and expected time of arrival. Have a cell phone readily accessible in case of an emergency.
