The Future is Binary – Five people are facing charges following a hit and run investigation that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 5:15 a.m., July 3, 2014, Police attended to a report of a hit and run at the intersection of 22nd Street and Avenue P. Upon arrival, Police were not able to find either vehicle involved but were provided information that six people had been seen fleeing one of the vehicles with a baseball bat. Police soon located the vehicle abandoned in a back lane of the 1400 block of 22nd Street West. A canine unit attended and successfully tracked to a residence where six individuals were located. The baseball bat was also recovered.

Two females, both 21-years-old, and two males, ages 16 and 27, were arrested for breaching conditions. A fifth male, 21-years-old, was arrested on outstanding warrants.

The second vehicle involved has not been located.

This incident remains under investigation.
